YWCA ALIVE (Alternatives to Living In a Violent Environment) SHELTER PROGRAM
provides temporary-emergency housing for women and children affected by domestic violence. Residents receive advocacy-based counseling, children's activities, housing and employment advocacy, support groups, food, clothing, Community-based support groups, and transportation. YWCA ALIVE LEGAL ADVOCACY PROGRAM
offers support for domestic violence victims through the judicial process, court accompaniment, safety planning,
advocacy-based counseling, information and referral services, assistance obtaining restraining/protection/anti-harassment orders, filing Crime Victims Compensation Claims, and enrollment in the Address Confidentiality

YWCA ALIVE BAINBRIDGE ISLAND/NORTH KITSAP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM

YWCA ALIVE/DSHS WorkFirst PROJECT
provides Domestic Violence case management services for clients referred by the DSHS Bremerton Community Services Office. An ALIVE Advocate assistsWorkFirst program participants in addressing the issues of domestic violence identified as a barrier to successful welfare-to-work transitions. VICTIMS SERVICES TRAINING YWCA
Staff organizes and facilitates two (2) 30 hour Victim's Services Trainings, annually (generally in the Spring and Fall). Topics include, but are not limited to: Dynamics of Domestic Violence, How to Identify Domestic Violence,
Advocacy-based counseling skills, the effects of domestic violence on children, etc. Upon completion of training, certification is received. Sliding scale fee. For additional information, contact: (360) 479-0491.
YWCA FAMILY SERVICES PROGRAM
Provides a “safety net” of supportive services for individuals and families who are in need of YWCA resources and/or referrals to other community resources. Targeted populations include: at risk families. Family Outreach Advocates meet individually with participants at the YWCA Community Center or during 'home visits'. Services include, but are not limited to: parenting education, advocacy-based counseling, monthly support groups, goal setting, case management, stress management, food and clothing. The Family Outreach Program also coordinates the Holiday Adopt-A-Family and the Back-to-School Projects. For additional information, contact: (360) 479-0522.
YWCA KIDS KAMP (Kids Are Making Progress)
